Pakworks Heilbron · snacks plant, graded vertical by vertical

Every vertical in the factory — from the NikNaks extrusion lines to compressed air and fryer heat — receives a grade every month, produced by GreenX platforms from the metering data already flowing on site. Each grade comes with the insights of improvement for that vertical: what moved, why, and the three things worth doing before the next grading. R1,000 per vertical per grading, insights included. Building spaces (offices, lab, canteen) carry EPC-principle benchmarks alongside; any on-site generation is netted off where it feeds the vertical.

Who grades

GreenX platforms — not a consultant's visit

The grade is computed by the GreenX EPC engine from Meter IQ data (existing site metering, read-only), with the Scan app register of equipment per vertical behind it. Engineers review the insights before they go out; the grade itself is data, not opinion.

How often

Every month, on the 1st

Twelve gradings a year per vertical. Each grade sits against the vertical's own baseline and the previous eleven months, so a shift team sees whether last month's change actually moved the band.

What it costs

R1,000 per vertical per grading

Insights of improvement included with every grade — what moved, why, and the three actions before the next grading. Twelve verticals is R12,000 a month. Every energy and water saving stays 100% with Pakworks.

    How the grade is produced

No consultant visit, no manual assessment cycle
    Site metering API→kWh/t · m³/t per vertical→Energy + water grade→Grade & insights issued monthly

Production verticals receive monthly EPC-principle grades — a voluntary A–G benchmark on the same scale as a building EPC, not a statutory certificate. Offices, lab and canteen spaces that qualify under the EPC regulations get formal SANEDI-registered EPCs from the same pipeline.

    Green Seeds: the shift-team cohort

Six verticals compete on improvement against their own baseline. Shift teams and line leads see their score on WhatsApp each Monday — the same grade the vertical gets on the 1st, broken down week by week — and winning playbooks roll to the next six verticals. Rewards are Pakworks' to set; the savings are Pakworks' to keep.
